Thoughts on Akron?: Thankfully their strengths, team strength and elusiveness, are the same as our strengths. With that being said, we are a little stronger and a little more elusive. That showed in the first half, which allowed us to build a big lead. Luckily, we had just enough depth to hold them off as they made a run in the second half.
Did you make any halftime adjustments?: Not really. Given our big lead at the half, we pretty much kept the same game plan. Hunt had another big day running the ball and added some big time receptions out of the backfield. Things really slowed down for Spencer after the snap and he had a monster day throwing the ball.
Effects going forward?: We're going to focus on self improvement during these last two non conference games. We don't want to get too fancy and show Kentucky or our other conference foes our full hand just yet.
Feelings about dropping out of the Top 25 after Week 2?: I saw where they had us in the mid thirties. I feel like that's about right and where we will probably finish the year. I hope I'm wrong, but we're just making too many mistakes right now and don't have the depth to compensate for it.
